Joséphine House, an elegant th century building, first recalls the memory of Madame Campan; That was where he lived with her husband, between 1785 and 1792. Ms. Campan was at the age of fifteen years a reader of the daughters of Louis XV, and then a chamber woman of Queen Marie-Antoinette, to whom she remained devoted until her death on the scaffold. An outstanding educator, she founded a boarding school known as the Consulate and then the Empire, who lived through some of the Napoleonic family, and from high French society. Mrs. Campan gave interesting memories, replete with anecdotes about the turbulent life of the turn of the th and th centuries.
